Glacial Energy Scholarship designation program

A quick note on something I encountered this afternoon.

One of our clients interfaces with many businesses.

They are contacting those businesses and letting them know that they can participate in building the school's scholarship program by electing the 'Glacial Scholarship Earmark' program to designate $.001 of their electrical supply payment to their 501c3.

One car dealership could use 1,000,000 kwh per month, yielding $1,000.00 for the scholarship fund.

That's an offer you can extend to your business contacts or student families (if they have businesses with commercial accounts).

Thanks for taking the time to review this!   and have a great finish to your week and month.

Liberty Energy electrical rate posted today.

Jeff Kurtz  Liberty energy just updated their fixed rate contract price at 9.4 cents... Meanwhie Glacial Energy customers paid 8.4 cents per KWH during January. Fax your recent bill to me at 717-370-5325  or 570-647-4053 for a free analysis!

How does Glacial keep its overhead so low?

By working only with commercial accounts Glacial is not left with unpaid residential electric bills.   People have the house for sale and decide to pay up with the house sells...   Tenants leave and don't notify the utility company...   People with hardships can't pay their bill but need electrical service...  those situations create debt that PPL has to pass on to other consumers.

Glacial Energy is debt free.   Our customers are paying only for the electricity and our minimal overhead and margin.

Why is Glacial a better alternative?

What Glacial offers, and the benefits:

Variable pricing
No usage commitment
Month to month service
No long term commitment
10% – 20% savings = $$’s

No added risk premium
No long term contract required
Lower pricing that fixed

Pennsylvania has energy options!

When your PPL bill arrives, following your January meter reading, you will see prices which will total aproximately 10.4 cents per kilowatt hour (KWH).

This may be 30 - 50% more than your rate last year.

With deregulation you have the option to switch to an alternate supplier for the Transmission and the Generation portions of your bill.   Glacial Energy of PA is currently quoting 7.241 cents ($.07241) per KWH to our customers.   We are a variable rate company.  We buy energy all day every day and our customers bills will be based on our low-overhead rate for the energy we bought on the days they used electricity.

You can contact me Monday thru Saturday at 570-401-4843 or 717-620-9676 to discuss your options.   There is no fee for switching your supplier and we do not require long term contracts.

Here are answers to the most often asked questions:

WILL I STILL BE A CUSTOMER OF MY UTILITY?
Yes - the only difference is that you will also be saving money as a commercial
customer of Glacial Energy. Your local utility owns the power
lines that carry electricity to your business or organization and they will
continue to bill you for the delivery of electricity at rates governed by the
state. The actual electricity will be supplied by Glacial Energy, an energy
service company that constantly shops for the best wholesale prices to
keep your costs down.

WHAT IF THE POWER GOES OUT?
If you lose power or if you have an emergency related to your power, you must
still notify your utility. Utilities are required to respond with equal attention
to all of their customers and they do not and can not discriminate against
customers that use energy service companies such as Glacial Energy.

WILL I NOTICE ANY CHANGES TO MY SERVICE?
When you make the switch to Glacial Energy your electrical service will
continue uninterrupted. You will still have access to your usage and billing
history appearing on your delivery bill from the utility.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SAFETY AND RELIABILITY OF
POWER DELIVERY?
The delivery system is still the responsibility of the utility and as such, its
safety and reliability. The utility will maintain the lines and repair them
if there is an outage or storm. The regulatory body overseeing utilities in
your state will help to ensure that the utility continues to provide a safe,
reliable delivery system for your use.

WHAT IF I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MY BILL?
For questions regarding your bill for electricity contact Glacial Energy
and our friendly customer care will be happy to assist you. For questions
regarding the delivery of your service such as outages, meter checks, etc.,
please contact your local utility.

To my Business Associates;

A  quick note,,,  I have joined Glacial Energy, to assist my business friends in reducing electrical energy expenses after the January 1, 2010 deregulation here in Pennsylvania.

I do know that deregulation is a fairly complicated issue to explain, but in 20 minutes I can clarify that for you.  Important considerations include:
  • Glacial Energy is a Supplier, not a fee-added "broker".
  • PPL will become a delivery company.
Regardless of what you have paid in the past, commercial PPL accounts are going to be set at a rate of approximately $.103 (10.3 cents) per kilowatt hour for the "Supply" portion of your electrical bill.

As a PA PUC Electrical Generator Supplier, Glacial Energy offers indexed pricing based on current wholesale pricing, that is currently around $.07012 per KWh (will vary with market prices, just like corn and gas bpup prices) to our new commercial clients, on a no-commitment, month to month agreement, with no fees for enrolling or for future supplier changes.  this will replace the 'transmission' and 'generation' parts of your electrical bill.  Our "no commitment, month-to-month agreement" is available to commercial accounts.

You will still receive the Distribution bill from PPL, and the "competitive transition" portion of your current PPL bill will disappear during 2010.

Our experience has shown the resulting savings to be between 20% and 32% for most commercial accounts.

My Promise:
  • As your energy supply professional, I promise to make your electrical supply decisions up to date and economical.
  • Glacial makes a continuous best price offer.   Month-to-month with a fixed rate option.
  • Every month, as soon as our rates are released I will contact you to review how our rate saved you money compared to available published fixed rate plans, complete with contact information for those companies.  If you want to make a switch you fax me a note and you go to the supplier of choice.   No fees, no hesitation.

Glacial is here to give you the simplest month-to-month agreement, best available pricing for todays energy.

Glacial agreements are simple:
  • NO usage commitment
  • NO annual contract
  • NO price fixing
  • NO fee to switch, or switch back at some future date
  • NO Force Majeure cause ("act of god" cancellation of rate) for month-to-month accounts

My promise is to offer you significant savings ASAP, possibly from the beginning of your next meter reading.   Please fax the GRAPH page and the BILLING page of your recent PPL bill to me at 1-603-462-1316 for a free analysis and projection of your 2010 savings.  Takes about 5 days to get back to you.

Thanks, and have a great 2010!
